W was founded in the fall of 2003 although the band members had played together in several line-ups before, as well. After a few years, in 2005, we finally found a steady line-up for our band when Sami took his place as our lead vocalist and Janne completed W with his rhythm guitars. In 2007 Esko Matikainen joined the band.

Our first album Limit was released in the fall of 2005 independently and it has sold quite well since. In 2006 we mainly focused on composing some new material and playing a few gigs in the meantime. It was only a calm before the storm...
